Baked Apple

This dessert is quick to make and contains few ingredients. It’s a good way to use up any left over apples. I usually serve this with some coconut cream and smashed nuts.


  • 1 Apple
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 50g Raisins
  • 1 tbsp Rum


  1. First core out the apple, leaving a good base.
  2. Score a circumference around the middle of the apple, this allows it to expand in the oven without bursting.
  3. Mix the raisins, sugar, cinnamon & Rum together.
  4. Pop into the apple and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for approx 20 minutes until the juices are bubbling.
