This spiced apple chutney is a delicious way to use any leftover apples or any surplus apples if you have a apple tree. Be warned though to keep the windows shut when cooking this as wasps love its smell! I ended up with 5 wasps in the kitchen the last time cooking this but after several attempts, I eventually got them out. Phew!
- 200g Onions, peeled and diced
- 600g Apples, peeled and diced
- 100g Sultanas
- 15g Mixed Spice
- 200g Brown Sugar
- 400ml Cider vinegar
- 10g Crushed cloves
- Mix all the ingredients in a pan with 100ml of water and simmer for approx 2 hours.
